Dr. Demi Cush (She/Her)

Dr. Demi Cush is a licensed clinical psychologist dedicated to helping individuals lead meaningful and fulfilling lives while navigating complex medical and psychological challenges. With a deep understanding of the mind–body connection, she has a particular interest in working with patients managing chronic health conditions or adjusting to new medical diagnoses. Her clinical expertise also includes chronic pain, infertility, grief and loss, trauma, postpartum anxiety and depression, neurodevelopmental concerns, gastrointestinal health, and sleep disorders.

Dr. Cush takes a collaborative, whole-person approach, addressing each patient’s unique physical, emotional, and psychological needs. Known for her genuine and compassionate style, she fosters a supportive environment where patients feel safe exploring change, building resilience, and aligning their actions with their values to achieve lasting well-being.

Her therapeutic approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), complemented by specialized training in CBT for Insomnia (CBT-I), CBT for Chronic Pain, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), clinical hypnosis, meaning-centered psychotherapy, motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness. Dr. Maglio integrates these evidence-based modalities to meet patients where they are and support their readiness for growth.

Dr. Cush has extensive experience across behavioral medicine, inpatient, outpatient, and private practice settings. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Delaware, her Master’s and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from La Salle University (Health Psychology track), and a Master’s in Sport and Performance Psychology from the University of Denver. She completed her predoctoral internship at the VA New Jersey Health Care System, specializing in health and rehabilitation psychology.
