Dr. Janet Z., Psy.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist dedicated to helping individuals and families better understand themselves and their experiences through psychological assessment. She spent over three years with the San Diego Regional Center, where she reviewed autism and cognitive evaluations for people of all ages. Her work also includes extensive experience in autism spectrum disorder, personality assessment, and medical-legal evaluations.
Throughout her career, Dr. Z. has worked in psychiatric hospitals, general hospitals, correctional facilities, and community-based adult centers, experiences that have deepened her appreciation for the strength and resilience people show in the face of challenges. She approaches each person she meets with empathy, curiosity, and
genuine care, creating a space where clients feel seen, heard, and supported.
She enjoys both evaluations and therapy, viewing each as an opportunity to promote clarity, self-understanding, and emotional healing. Her goal is to help people make sense of their experiences, discover their strengths, and move forward with a greater sense of
confidence and peace.
Outside of her clinical work, Dr. Z. finds joy and grounding in dance and time spent in nature. These moments of movement and stillness allow her to reconnect with balance and flow—values that inspire her approach to helping others live with more presence
and authenticity.
