Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is LBee Health?
LBee Health is a 50-state mental health practice that is taking a new approach to accessible mental health care. Our model is focused on low-cost and insurance-covered services for people who are experiencing burnout, toxic work environments, trauma and other difficult life situations. We offer full mental healthcare services including therapy and medication management. We also offer support groups or coaching groups that are not considered medical or mental health care.
  • Can I use my HSA?
Prior to coverage by insurance, if your HSA has an associated debit card, you should be able to pay for services with that. If not, we can provide you an Superbill that you can submit to your HSA for reimbursement. Once we begin billing insurance, your HSA would apply as it does with any in-person service.
  • Do you take insurance?
We are working to get in network with as many insurance plans as possible. We currently have a contract with Aetna, and we will open treatment availability as our providers become credentialed with different payers. Keep checking back and sign up for updates to be the first to know when scheduling opens up. Support groups are not covered by insurance. They are $20 per person for every group. There are no contracts or commitments for care.
  • What states is treatment available in?
Our support or coaching groups are available in all 50 states, and they are open immediately. Our mental health services including therapy, medication management and psychiatric care are expanding into all 50 states. We will notify and post on our site when we open up additional states and insurance plans. We will be in all 50 states for mental health care by the end of 2024.
  • How do I know what's covered under my insurance?
Fill out our insurance eligibility form! We will review your coverage and send you a response with your visit costs and an estimate for a mental health treatment plan.
  • What types of visits/appointment do you offer?
We are a full-service mental health clinic, and we also offer psychoeducational groups.
  • What do you treat through your mental health program?
In general, we treat the following through our programs: Depression Anxiety Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Obsessive Compulsive Disorder Post-Partum Mental Illness Bipolar Disorder Mood Disorder Panic Disorder At this time, we do not treat: Eating Disorders Substance Use Disorder Personality Disorders
  • Do you see or provide treatment for children?
All users and patients must be 18 or older.
  • Do I have to come in person?
Nope! All of our services are fully virtual and you just need wifi, a quiet location and a device with a camera.
  • How can I book a mental health appointment?
Soon, you will be able to book your appointment through our website and with our appointment team. We have not opened scheduling yet, but we will as we onboard clinicians for one-to-one treatment and set schedules for treatment. You will be able to submit your insurance eligibility in the next few days so you can be ready for when our contracts are actionable.
  • How quickly can I get an appointment?
We do our best to schedule all patients within 48 hours or less of receiving your insurance eligibility confirmation from your insurance plan.
  • Why can't I schedule a mental health appointment?
Insurance contracting is complicated! We are waiting for full credentialing and to get all of our providers scheduled. Stay tuned, and jump on our mailing list to be the first to find out as we open availability.
  • Can you help me with medication refills?
As part of our comprehensive program, we can provide medication maintenance in many cases. All patients have to go through a full workup regardless if they have had treatment elsewhere before, and we cannot guarantee that the same medications will be refilled.
  • Do you prescribe controlled substances?
No. We do not prescribe controlled substances through our programs.
  • Why isn't my insurance accepted for groups?
Our group support sessions don't fit a code that is payable by most insurance plans. Also, they are not medical or mental health services. They are peer coaching services or support services, and those are not generally covered by insurance plans. That said, we have done our best to make them low cost and accessible, and we will expand our offering as we learn more about our participants and bring in additional group leaders.
  • How do I join a support group?
Select "Join A Group" under the one you want to attend.
  • How do I suggest a group if I don't see one that fits me?
Use our form here: Suggest a group.
  • Do I have to go to group every week? Can I go to group every week?
If you would like to attend every week, you're welcome to, but our groups are "drop in" groups. That means that you can start and stop any time, and you can miss a week if you need to. We would love to have you every week, but we understand that that's not always possible.
