Frequently Asked Questions
-
What is LBee Health?LBee Health is a 50-state mental health practice that is taking a new approach to accessible mental health care. Our model is focused on low-cost and insurance-covered services for people who are experiencing burnout, toxic work environments, trauma and other difficult life situations. We offer full mental healthcare services including therapy and medication management. We also offer support groups or coaching groups that are not considered medical or mental health care.
-
Can I use my HSA?Prior to coverage by insurance, if your HSA has an associated debit card, you should be able to pay for services with that. If not, we can provide you an Superbill that you can submit to your HSA for reimbursement. Once we begin billing insurance, your HSA would apply as it does with any in-person service.
-
Do you take insurance? We are working to get in network with as many insurance plans as possible. We currently have a contract with Aetna, and we will open treatment availability as our providers become credentialed with different payers. Keep checking back and sign up for updates to be the first to know when scheduling opens up. Support groups are not covered by insurance. They are $20 per person for every group. There are no contracts or commitments for care.
-
What states is treatment available in?Our support or coaching groups are available in all 50 states, and they are open immediately. Our mental health services including therapy, medication management and psychiatric care are expanding into all 50 states. We will notify and post on our site when we open up additional states and insurance plans. We will be in all 50 states for mental health care by the end of 2024.

-
Why isn't my insurance accepted for groups? Our group support sessions don't fit a code that is payable by most insurance plans. Also, they are not medical or mental health services. They are peer coaching services or support services, and those are not generally covered by insurance plans. That said, we have done our best to make them low cost and accessible, and we will expand our offering as we learn more about our participants and bring in additional group leaders.
-

Do I have to go to group every week? Can I go to group every week?If you would like to attend every week, you're welcome to, but our groups are "drop in" groups. That means that you can start and stop any time, and you can miss a week if you need to. We would love to have you every week, but we understand that that's not always possible.
